Robyn Crowell is a Professional Artist, Gallery Show Director, Instructor, Artist Consult and published award winning children’s book illustrator. Crowell has dedicated the last 20 years of her life to educating and giving back to her community through Visual Art. Certified in Non- Profit Advisory, specifically in the arts, Crowell has co-founded and curated a gallery and Fine Arts Council in Fort Bend County as well as partnered with the City of Sugar Land to support Visual Artists in her community by directing art shows.
She left the administration side to begin creating art in 2018 and has been in several exhibits and shows in the Houston area including; Hardy and Nance Studios, East End Gallery, The Reflection Association Show in Sugar Land and has been the featured artist in San Marcos new Center for The Arts. She left the administration side to begin creating art in 2018 and has been in several exhibits and shows in the Houston area including; Hardy and Nance Studios, East End Gallery, The Reflection Association Show in Sugar Land and has been the featured artist in San Marcos new Center for The Arts. She has been a resident Artist since June 2020 at The Art Machine Gallery in The Silos at The Sawyer Yards, The Heights, Houston, TX. She is proud to call it “home”.
Crowell’s works are heavily influenced by the Spanish Cubists and exhibit a childlike rendering of playfulness and unfiltered energy of bold color and shape . She uses mixed media to create stories of meaning and thoughtfulness that connect people and their shared experiences.
